The secure email add-on allows you to deliver emails to parental contacts using the groups you already have set up in your school Management Information System (MIS) system.
Linking your MIS data to your website requires a secure connection from your school's Management Information System (MIS) to Juniper Education. As such, we integrate with a company called Wonde. Wonde provides a high level of security, allowing you to remain in control of the data accessed through your website.
Wonde will contact you directly to create an account and will help you with setting up the integration. You will then be able to provide the relevant permissions for your chosen add-ons.
Once the integration has been completed, your data will begin synchronising with your website. Prior to using the add-ons, you should check that the data is synchronised as expected via the Data Dashboard.
Accessing Secure Email System
- From the purple admin bar at the top, click Add-Ons. The add-on landing page will load, any modules that are greyed out are not available.
- Click the Email tile to access email settings, templates, the mail queue and much more.
Create a new email
- Click Create a new email to open the email editor.
- From there, click on the 'Add' button under recipients to choose who will receive the emails. This information is taken from the MIS data provided.
- You can use the add button within the recipients pop-up to choose whether you want the primary contact or all contact in relation to your pupils to receive the email.
- Place your cursor into the Email Subject field to type a subject.
- Place your cursor into the email body container to start typing your message.
- The text block allows you to add text and make changes to the formatting, such as Bold, Italics, or Alignment.
- Drag the text block onto the page
- Click into the text area and type or paste in your text content
- Use the toolbar at the top to help format the text, and insert hyperlinks and images.
- Using the Insert Placeholder button, you are able to drop text which will be picked up from your MIS data. For example, the system could automatically insert a parent's name; this email can be personalised and tailored to each recipient.
- To add an attachment click the Choose Files button to upload your attachments.
Note: We recommend using PDF files as your attachment file format. As some parents may struggle to open other file types.
Preview, Save & Send
At any time, you can click preview to check how your email will look when sent, you can also save it as a Draft, Template or Send Now.

Save Draft - you can leave the site and return later to continue working on the draft item.

Save Template - you can access a template later, and use it to create a new email with the same content.
- You can access email templates from the Templates tile on the left-hand side when in the email add-on.

Send Now- this option will send the email.
- You can access sent emails from the Sent tile on the left-hand side when in the email add-on.
