Your Content Management System (CMS) has the ability to create and create customised forms, surveys & polls on your website. This will help you to gather information from your visitors.
TIP: Forms can be added beneath any page on your website, so it's important to think about where you would like it to be created. For example:
- If you have a Get in Touch form, you may want to add this under your Contact Us page. You could even embed your form into other pages.
- If you want parents to complete your application form online, you could add it to the admissions area of your site.
- Occasionally, you may not find an appropriate place to share your form publicly, or want to keep it out of sight from. In this instance, an administrator can add it to the Hidden Area via the Sitemap View, so that it won't appear in the navigation menus on your site. You can then use the component tool to embed it other pages, or share a direct link to parents.
Creating a form, survey or poll
TIP: If you have an existing form that you would like to copy, to create a new form, an administrator can duplicate it through the sitemap. Once created, the form can then be edited to make an changes needed.
- Navigate to the area of the website where you want to create your form, survey or poll.
- Select the form, survey or poll button on the Create tab.
- forms are used to gather information from your visitors, via a set of questions. For example, a Contact Us form, or trip authorisation.
- Surveys are great for gathering data on impressions, opinions and satisfaction levels by targeting a specific group of individuals for feedback. The results of a survey can be provided visually.
- polls are useful to allow visitors to vote, or gauge opinions, and the results can be output as a series of charts.
