Users can usually administer their own password but it a can also be reset by a website administrator if needed.
Some things to check
- Make sure the username and password are both being entered correctly.
- Both are case sensitive.
- Check for spaces at the start or end.
- Check that an old saved password is not filling out the fields automatically through the browser.
- The website administrator should check that the correct email has been entered when setting up the account.
- If the user has not received an account password email, they should check in their Junk/spam folder.
Sending the Password Reset Email
To send a new password reset Email
- Select HOME > User Manager
- Searching for the user within the User Managers search box (top right)
- Click to select the name
- In the right panel scroll down and click on 'Send password reset'
Setting a temporary password
An Administrator can also set a temporary password for a user by following the steps below:
- Log into the website.
- Navigate to HOME > User Manager.
- Search for the user within User Manager using the search bar (top right).
- Select the user and click on the 'EDIT' button (on the right):
- You can now add a temporary password in the password field:
TIP: If the user is within the same room then you may prefer them to type in their preferred password themselves.
- Once you have entered the new password click on 'Choose roles' (bottom right).
