Bold, Italic & Underline
On the editor toolbar, you will find options to make text bold italic or underlined. Simply select the text you would like to format and then click the button on the toolbar. You can also use the standard shortcuts for these formatting options - CTRL+B / CTRL+I / CTRL+U
Superscript
This is useful for dates in the format 15th. Highlight the text you would like to format and select the Superscript icon on the editor toolbar.
Clear Formatting
Sometimes your formatting may not look the way you want it to, especially when copying in from another source. Clearing the formatting lets you remove the styling, and then you can use the other tools to re-format the text the way you require. Highlight the text you wish to clear the formatting for and click the Clear Format icon on the toolbar.
Bullets & Numbered Lists
Lists are a great way to make your content clear and easy to understand. They also have the added benefit of making your content more accessible, as they can be easily identified and read be screen readers. To use bullets and numbering select some text or click into the content area where you would like to add a list, and select either the Bullet or Numbering icon from the toolbar.
Text Alignment
By default the text on your site will be set to be justified to the left. If you would prefer a section of text to be aligned differently, select the text and choose your preferred option from the edit toolbar.
Heading Styles
Text styles are an important tool to help make sections of your content stand out, and they are styled to match your website so everything stays looking beautiful. They also allow your visitors to easily identify the content they are interested in. They are particularly important for accessibility, as they can be used to skip through content for anyone using a screen reader to access your site.
Under the Style Dropdown, you will be able to select from
- Normal Paragraph
- Heading 2
- Heading 3
- Heading 4
- Heading 5
Heading 1 isn't included as this is reserved for the titles of you pages.
