If your site includes Custom Pop-up functionality, you can can switch this on to make announcements when visitors arrive on your homepage.
As this is custom functionality, the exact settings and layout may differ a little from those shown here, but will be similar.
Finding the Custom Pop-up Settings
- If this feature is enabled, you will find an option in the Website Tab> Custom Data> Pop-up
If you are certain that you have pop-up functionality on your but cannot the settings here, you may be looking for the Enhanced Pop-up or Emergency Pop-up.
Adding a Message to the Custom Pop-up
- To create a new pop-up message, click on Add new item
(if you are only able to add a single message to your pop-up, you may not see this step) - You will then need to complete the form with the details of the message you wish to display. The fields may differ from the example here; you may be able to add a title, message wording, an image, and often a link. If the show/hide option is available this can be used to turn your message on and off. If this does not appear, the existence of the message is usually all that is needed for it to display.
- Once you have filled out the form click Update to save your pop-up message.
Editing a Custom Pop-up
- Select the item in the list to open it.
- Follow the steps to edit the details
- Select Update.
Deleting a Custom Popup
- Select the delete icon for the item you want to delete.
- When prompted, select Confirm deletions at the top of the list to finalise the removal.
